It has been a long time since Aamir Khan stopped accepting awards or even attending award shows. His move came as a surprise, for most actors, at least back then, craved to be recognized and that happened through awards. However, ever since Aamir banned award shows, things have become more complicated than ever. It has been a long time but Aamir’s views on awards remain the same. He has no interest in them and in fact, even tried to stop his sister from accepting an award. Aamir gave a witty response to the age-old question during his latest appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

The actor joked that his sister Nikhat got an award and he tried to stop her but she went and received the award anyway. Further speaking on why he himself doesn’t go to receive awards, Aamir’s witty answer was, “Time is very precious. You need to use it wisely.”

When asked if Junaid Khan takes advice from Aamir, the actor said, “Mere bacche meri sunte hi nahi hai yaar!” He then went on to reveal that Jackie Shroff had indeed approached him for Tiger Shroff’s debut. The actor eventually made his film debut with Heropanti, directed by Ahmed Khan. The movie also marked Kriti Sanon’s debut in the industry. “Usko mil thoda, baat kar thoda, dekh kaisa hai woh,” Aamir recalled his friend Jackie saying. Saying that, the actor joked, “Mere bacche mujh mein interested hi nahi hai.”
