A few days back, we had reported about actor Aamir Khan all set to reportedly produce a film which has Rajkumar Santoshi as its director. The reported hero of the film is none other than Sunny Deol, who is enjoying his moment under the sun, thanks to the gigantic hit in the form of ‘Gadar 2’, which he had delivered this year.

The latest update on the film is that, the film has been offered a whopping Rs. 95 crores by a leading OTT platform to buy the exclusive rights of the film, as per a report in Zoom. What is remarkable about the said film and the OTT offer is that, the film has been offered the said amount even before the film could be even announced. The said film, as per a news report in Box Office Worldwide, has been reported to be a film that will be based on historical events during the partition era.

With the said film, it will mark the coming together of two stalwarts of Bollywood – Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi. Looking back, the two personalities had worked together in two films- the cult ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ and the Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Lajja’. One may also recall that Aamir Khan had done a special appearance in a song in the Sunny Deol-Meenakshi Sheshadri starrer ‘Damini’, which was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. This time round, Aamir Khan may not be acting in the film as he will be in the capacity of the film’s producer.

As for the combo of Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol, the said film will mark their fourth film as a director-actor. The filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi had earlier directed Sunny Deol in films like ‘Damini’, ‘Ghatak’ and ‘Ghayal’.

As for the name of the said film, it has been reported that it will be titled (tentatively though) as ‘Jisne Lahore Nahi Dekha’. The film will be reportedly based on the famous Punjabi play by Asghar Wajahat, which was called ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai’.
