Aamir Khan recently revealed his daughter Ira Khan's wedding date. The perfectionist of Bollywood said Ira will get married to Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024. Now, it has been reported that the couple will host a wedding reception on January 13, 2024. They will have a court marriage on January 3 and a destination wedding will take place later.

All about Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare's wedding

A source close to the development informed Bombay Times that Ira and Nupur's wedding reception will be a grand affair. "Aamir is personally inviting people from the film industry for the reception. It will be attended by the who’s who of the film fraternity, right from the younger lot of actors to the seniors," a source revealed.

Spilling the beans about Ira and Nupur's destination wedding in Udaipur, a little birdie added, "It will be a three-day intimate affair (January 8 to 10) and the festivities will include their friends and extended family members."

Aamir Khan confirms Ira and Nupur's wedding date

Earlier, in an interview with News18, Aamir spoke about Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare's wedding date. "Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen is — waise toh pet name unka naam Popeye hai (his pet name is Popeye) — he is a trainer, he has arms like Popeye but his name is Nupur," said Khan. The actor also recalled how Nupur supported his daughter when she was battling depression.

On the work front for Aamir Khan

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor reunited with Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh for the film. It was the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film failed to impress the audience.

Next, Khan will be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor recently made an official announcement about the same at an event. Aamir is also likely to make an appearance in his son Junaid Khan's production venture, Pritam Pyaare. Having said that, the actor is also producing a film, helmed by Advait, with Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead role.
