It looks like Aamir Khan is ready to take the next step of his career, now that the actor took a break from acting. He might just step into the shoes of a director. In fact, Aamir is likely to collaborate with Paatal Lok director Avinash Arun for the project. Dinesh Vijan is bankrolling the said project.
So, what is this film?
The movie, according to a report on Pinkvilla, is the Ujjwal Nikam biopic. Aamir turns a director for the project while Avinash works on the screenplay. Dinesh bankrolls the movie in associated with Aamir. “All the stakeholders are happy with the right energies associated with the project and are keen to take the film on floors next year,” a source told the portal.
Who is Ujjwal Nikam?
Ujjwal Nikam is a public prosecutor. He has worked on some of the most high-profile cases in Mumbai. These include 1993 Bombay blasts, Gulshan Kumar murder case, Pramod Mahajan case, 2008 Mumbai attacks, 2013 Mumbai gang rape case and 2016 Kopardi rape and murder case. It was in 2016 itself that Ujjwal was awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India.
Who is the cast of the film?
All information about the movie is kept heavily under the wraps. The movie has been greenlit only recently and the makers are still working out all the details. Aamir was interested in acting in the movie but he is still contemplating that. He might act in his directorial or just be associated as a producer. That is still unclear.
Aamir Khan’s busy schedule
While he was on a break, Aamir seems to have finalized on almost six scripts. It looks like the actor has also signed a two-film-deal with Rajkumar Santoshi. They will reunite as actor-director 30 years since Andaz Apna Apna’s release.
Apart from that, Aamir also wants to collaborate with Rajkumar Hirani again. It however looks like there’s still time for this collaboration to happen because Aamir will work with Santoshi and for another project before associating with his 3 Idiots and PK director again.
