Post Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan has ben absent from the films. However, the actor is all set to star in the prequel to Taare Zameen Par titled Sitaare Zameer Par. While the actor is busy with the shooting and production of this film, there have been reports that the actor is exploring new scripts and is ready to sign another film if he finds the right one. As per recent reports, Khan is apparently interested in the Kishore Kumar biopic by Anurag Basu.
Anurag Basu approached Aamir Khan with Kishore Kumar biopic
Aamir Khan is currently eyeing five projects for the future if the reports are to be believed. The recet update states that he has been approached by Ludo directio Anurag Basu for a biopic on Kishore Kumar. A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that The Kishore Kumar Biopic is very precious to Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar and they want to bring this spectacle on the big screens in the best way possible.
"Aamir Khan is also a big admirer of Kishore Kumar and loved the vision that Basu has to bring the life of legend to the spectacle. The filmmaker has treated it very differently, and that’s what has fascinated Aamir the most," the source added.
The source further revealed that Aamir Khan have already done four to five meetings with the filmmaker and the things are looking positive for the duo to collaborate. “Aamir has taken as many as 6 films in consideration, and every film is in different stages of development. While the script of Kishore Kumar’s Biopic, Ujjwal Nikam’s Biopic, and Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy is locked, Ghajini 2, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next, and Zoya Akhtar’s next are in the development stage," said the source.
The report further revealed that Aamir is interested in all the films as he liked them all so he will take a call for his next by the end of this year. "Of the 6 films, he will do three for sure in different timelines and might let go of the other three," the source added.
