Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to do a film together? 3 Idiots actor drops major update

The three Khans of Bollywood - Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan - continue to rule the hearts of millions of fans with their charming personalities, unique acting skills, and down-to-earth nature. It is a dream to see them together in a film. Their dance performance at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's wedding festivity invited a storm of reactions on social media. Now, in a new interview, Aamir shared an update on doing a film with Salman and SRK.

Are we getting a film ft. Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan?

During the In-Conversation segment of the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Aamir Khan opened up about doing a film with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

He shared that around six months ago, Shah Rukh, Salman and he were together and they did speak about this and also added that he was the person who brought this up. He told Shah Rukh Khan and Salman that it would be really sad if the three of them didn't do a film together.

"Salman and Shah Rukh were equally in agreement. They were like we must do a film together, the three of us. So hopefully it will happen soon. I will need the right kind of story. It will have to be the right script and we are looking forward to it," Aamir shared. 

Aamir Khan on Sitaare Zameen Par

At the same festival, he also shared details about Sitaare Zameen Par. He told Deadline that they are coming to the post-production later this month and would be ready to release the film in the middle of next year.

Calling the film a sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, he clarified that the film will not feature the same characters. 

“It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par,” he said.

Genelia Deshmukh will be seen in a key role in Sitaare Zameen Par. A Pinkvilla report stated, “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was produced by Aamir and this one has him in the lead. Genelia is also very excited to play the part and team up with Aamir for the first time. It’s a perfect casting given the demand of script and character arc." 

Aamir Khan's last theatrical release

Meanwhile, Aamir was last seen in filmmaker Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor played the lead role in the film in the Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks' Hollywood film Forrest Gump. 

In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir shared screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. Both were his co-stars from the 2009 film 3 Idiots.

However, the film failed to work wonders at the box office. The film hit the big screen in 2022.
