Sitaare Zameen Par tentative release date and reason for delay
Aamir Khan wishes to release Sitaare Zameen Par on Christmas this year. The actor spoke of the same at the Republic Day celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. PeepingMoon had previously revealed that Sitaare Zameen Par, originally scheduled for 2024 release, had to be delayed owing to pending post-production work. The insider shared that Aamir wanted to accomplish certain something with the project and work on that demanded some more time. Thus, now, Aamir can eye the Christmas 2025 release for what would be his acting comeback project.
Sitaare Zameen Par, the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par
Taare Zameen Par's 'spiritual sequel' is how Aamir Khan described Sitaare Zameen Par, as he revealed that the climax scene of the upcoming movie was shot in Vadodara, Gujarat. The film is the Indian adaptation of the Spanish movie Campeones (2018).
Sitaare Zameen Par brings back the Taare Zameen Par child actor Darsheel Zafary. This time around, Genelia Deshmukh is also associated with the film which is directed by RS Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fame).
