Aamir Khan contemplating an out and out action thriller film? Says reports

Often referred to as ‘the Perfectionist’, Aamir Khan’s films are always something that many of the cinegoers eagerly look forward to. One of the major reasons to this stems from the fact that, he does only one or two films in a year or two. But, his last film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ failed to ruffle any feathers at the box-office. Post the dismal performance of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, there were many speculations which reasoned the poor performance of the film. There were also rumours that, Aamir Khan will be on a one year sabbatical as he wants to unwind. Amidst all this, Aamir Khan had confirmed that he will be doing ‘Champions’, which is a Hindi remake of the Spanish film ‘Campeones’.

Even though, Aamir Khan was supposed to be acting in the film, but, at an event in Delhi which was held last year, he announced that he had decided to step down from the film as an actor, but will be associated with the film in the capacity of a producer. He had said that, "I will be producing 'Champions' because I really believe in the film; I think it’s a great story. I will be approaching other actors now to see which of them would like to do a role which I was hoping to do. I am in a stage in life where I would like to enjoy my relationships”.

The latest buzz about Aamir Khan is that, he is now reportedly considering giving his nod for an action film as his next project, as per a news report in Etimes. The said report quoted a source which stated that Aamir had always been very good with action which can be seen in films like ‘Dhoom 3 ’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Sarfarosh’, and ‘Ghulam’ and that he had taken a break in between as he didn’t want to repeat himself with similar content. The report added that, Aamir is now keeping an eye out for a script which will present him with an opportunity to do thrilling action.

The same report also stated that, Aamir Khan had recently inquired with YRF (Yash Raj Films) about the possibility of a new film in the hit ‘Dhoom’ series, in which he would reprise his characters of Sahir and Samar (the twin roles which Aamir Khan had played in ‘Dhoom 3’).
