Aamir Khan recently shared a major update about his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par.

Aamir Khan's highly-anticipated film, Sitaare Zameen Par, was previously scheduled for a December 2024 release. But, recently the actor shared that the release has been postponed. He also opened up about the film's connection to Taare Zameen Par and its characters, plot, and more.
At the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Aamir Khan shared details about Sitaare Zameen Par. He told Deadline, “We are coming to the post-production later this month. We would be ready to release the film in the middle of next year.”
Although Aamir called the film a sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, he clarified that the film will not feature the same characters. “It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par,” he said.
As per a Hindustan Times report, Sitaare Zameen Par's story is based on the Paralympic Games, an international sports competition for athletes with disabilities. "The children will play various Paralympic sports for the shoot," a source told the publication. The film casts Genelia Deshmukh in a key role.
The actor also opened up about his other production ventures such as Lahore 1947 and Ek Din.
Speaking about Lahore 1947, the film is produced by Aamir and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and it stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
On the other hand, Aamir shared that he is producing his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming film, which also stars Sai Pallavi. The film is titled Ek Din. Aamir shared that the film he is acting in is his third production, but he did not elaborate on it.
Talking about his fourth production, Aamir said that it is an Austin Powers-like film being written, and directed by Vir Das. Vir will also be starring in the film.
