The who's who of the Indian film industry attended the 69th birthday celebration of Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan. Actors Suriya and Aamir Khan were also part of the high-profile guests. A photo of the two superstars, along with popular cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, taking a selfie at the event has gone viral.
Ravi K. Chandran tweeted the selfie and captioned it, "Twoghajinis in one frame at @ikamalhaasan birthday party."
Suriya and Aamir Khan share a blockbuster connection: Ghajini. This movie is very important in their respective careers. Director A. R. Murugadoss first made Ghajini with Sruiya in 2005 and it became an instant classic. It was also instrumental in cementing Suriya's career in the Tamil film industry and putting him in the league of big superstars.
In 2008, Murugadoss remade Ghajini with Aamir Khan playing the role of a vengeful lover with a faulty memory. The movie was a massive success and it became the first ever Hindi film to collect Rs 100 crore within the domestic market.
It seems Amair Khan also took the opportunity to reconnect with all his friends in the South Indian film industry. Filmmaker-actor R. Parthiban expressed his admiration for Amair while sharing a photo of himself with the Bollywood superstar. "A man who leaves me in awe every time," Parthiban said while sharing the picture.
Besides Aamir Khan, many leading filmmakers, producers and actors took part in the birthday celebrations of Kamal Haasan in Chennai. Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar also shared a photo of herself with Kamal at the party. "Happy happy happyyyyyyyy Happpppppppppyyyyyy happpppiest birthday to you @ikamalhaasan Sir. Words fail to express how much you are loved and admired," she tweeted.
Back in the day, Khushbu and Kamal were one of the popular onscreen couples in Tamil cinema. The two have shared screen space in several blockbuster movies, including Michael Madana Kama Rajan and Singaravelan.
