On January 7, the Academy of Motion Pictures released the full list of 323 films that are eligible to compete across categories of the 2025 Oscar Awards, which will be held on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. As many as 7 Indian films feature among the 323 and are also in the list of 207 that are eligible for the night’s biggest award – Best Picture. Voting in various categories is set to begin on January 8.

Here are the Indian films on the Oscars’ long list of eligible films:

A survival drama following a Malayali immigrant, who is enslaved on a goat farm in Saudi Arabia. The film is an adaptation of the best-selling novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin, which is based on a true story.

A fantasy drama about a fearless tribal warrior who lived over a thousand years ago, and is a bounty hunter in the modern day. What connects them forms the crux of the Tamil action film.
