Aadu, the highly popular Malayalam comedy movie franchise, is now set to get a third installment soon. Jayasurya and Midhun Manuel Thomas, the leading man and director of the series, recently took to their official social media handles and confirmed that they are teaming up with actor-producer Vijay Babu for Aadu 3, very soon. The major announcement has now left the cine-goers and the die-hard fans of the franchise, highly excited.

Jayasurya, director Midhun Manuel Thomas, producer Vijay Babu, and other Aadu team members recently took to their official social media handles announced the third part, with a special poster. The quirky announcement poster of Aadu 3 features the popular character Shaji Pappan, played by the leading man, the director, and the producer, who are seen posing with goats, in black outfits. The fun poster hints that Aadu 3 is going to be a complete fun ride for the Malayalam cinema audiences.
“Pappan and his boys are coming. The ‘Aadu’ season begins now,” translates Jayasurya’s social media post. “Riding soon... A3,” wrote actor Saiju Kurup, who is set to reprise the much-loved character Arakkal Abu, in the highly anticipated project. Even though the makers have not revealed any details of the shooting schedules or release plans, the reports suggest that Aadu 3 will go on floors immediately after Jayasurya wraps up his ambitious project, Kathanar, .

All about the Aadu franchise
For the uninitiated, Jayasurya appears as the central character Shaji Pappan in the film. Producer Vijay Babu appears in the role of SI Sharbath Shameer in the film, which features a stellar star cast including Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Unni Rajan P. Dev, Harikrishnan, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Mamukkoya, Sijoy Varghese, Hariprashanth M, Sudhi Koppa, Biju Kuttan, Srindaa, Sethu Lakshmi, and others in the key roles.
The Aadu franchise began in 2015 with the story of Shaji Pappan and his boys, who struggle to get rid of a female goat named ‘Pinky’, which they received as the price for winning a tug-of-war tournament. The second part, Aadu 2, which was released in 2017, depicts the story of Pappan and his boys who get involved in a smuggling nexus and the hilarious events that follow. Both films are widely loved by the audience for their excellent narrative and characters, which are filled with humour.
