Aadha Ishq trailer: Aamna Sharif-Gaurav Arora are long lost lovers and it’s complicated

The trailer of Aamna Sharif’s upcoming web series Aadha Ishq is here. In the Voot series, we see her be in a beautiful relationship with Gaurav Arora’s character. However, like the teaser also confirmed, the two are past lovers.

Aamna is actually married to Kunaal Roy Kapur, who she has also divorced. Now, the complication is that her daughter (played by Pratibha Ranta) is in love with her mother’s ex-lover (Gaurav).

Aadha Ishq’s trailer involves passion through art. It also questions unrequited love.

The title song of this series makes it to the trailer and adds some context to the otherwise confusing plotline playing in the 1.39 minutes clip.

Even though at the face of it, this video has the romance between Aamna and Gaurav, there’s so much more to it. We see a beautiful moment between her and Kunaal. On the other hand, there’s a bold move between Pratibha and Gaurav. This makes you question where exactly will the lovers go? Will they choose a life they imagined in the past or will they move ahead with the complicated relationship(s).

Kunaal even tells Aamna, “You have a choice. Pick either your boyfriend or daughter.” This, in a way, simplifies the matter and what this trailer wants to convey.

Aadha Ishq, like the title suggests, is the story of unfinished love and what happens with it. The series also features Darsheel Safari and Suchitra Pillai in pivotal roles.

Aadha Ishq will stream exclusively on Voot. The show will be available from May 12.
