Even as actor Vijay has announced his political ambitions and floated his own party, the enthusiasm surrounding his upcoming film GOAT- Greatest of All Time, has not died down. Fans of the actor have been asking for an update about the film ever since the makers had announced the project last year.
Now, director Venkat Prabhu who is helming the film has hinted that a possible update is on the way. However, the filmmaker kept it crisp with his post and did not reveal much.
GOAT update on the way?
GOAT is one of the most expected films from the Tamil film industry. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the makers of the film released a bunch of posters hinting that the actor will play dual roles in the film. While the production for the film is underway and Venkat Prabhu has said that GOAT will be VFX heavy and they are looking to deliver a high-quality product, the filmmaker hinted at a possible update.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Venkat Prabhu wrote, “Very soooooon #GOAT and it will be worth it.” Scores of fans have commented on his post that an update on the first single will be coming soon. GOAT, produced by AGS Entertainment, also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, among others. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. GOAT is touted be a sci-fi action drama with Vijay playing dual roles.
Trisha to star in GOAT?
As per reports, hit onscreen couple Vijay and Trisha will be once again seen in GOAT. The latter is expected to make a cameo appearance in GOAT and will be seen a song portion too. Trisha has completed shooting for her part. It is also expected that Vijay is set to play both the hero and villain in GOAT.
Recently, Venkat Prabhu had said that GOAT shooting is nearing completion . He also denied reports stating that the film is an adaptation of Gemini Man, the 2019-released Will Smith film. He confirmed that The Greatest of All Time deals with a fresh subject.
