It has been nine years since the release of SS Rajamouli's epic action drama film, Baahubali: The Beginning. The 2015 Tollywood flick attained cult status instantly after its release. Baahubali: The Beginning film overview and plot

In Baahubali: The Beginning, Shivudu (Prabhas), a carefree young man, relentlessly follows his heart's desire as he grows up in a rural tribal village. As a result, he embarks on an excursion into uncharted territory. While travelling, he develops feelings for Avantika (Tamannaah), a soldier from the Nishada tribe. In an effort to capture her heart, Shivudu risks everything to save Devasena (Anushka) from the clutches of the despot King Bhallaladeva (Rana). While escaping with Devasena, Shivudu learns the truth about his mysterious history, and he also manages to liberate her.

Here we get a flashback to when King Vikramadeva of Mahishmati died unexpectedly, leaving his son Baahubali (Prabhas) without a father figure. Sivagami (Ramya), who is Bijjaladeva's (Nassar) wife and Bhalladeva's original mother, adopts her nephew and raises him as her own. She is virtuous and compassionate. As a result of this decision, Bhallaladeva, forced to share his mother's love and the title of crown prince, secretly develops intense jealousy and hatred towards Baahubali. The fact that his mother crowns Baahubali as king of Mahishmati only intensifies his hatred for him.

Following the revelation that Shivudu is indeed Baahubali and Devasena's son, the film concludes on a suspenseful note, leaving viewers to ponder Baahubali's demise.
