On August 25, the film had its global premiere over the Janmashtami weekend of 2016. Critics were divided on the film. The reviews for A Flying Jatt were mixed to unfavourable. Some critics praised the acting, visual effects, and score, while others panned the film for its slow pace, inconsistent tone, clichès, and direction.

Nathan Jones' Bollywood debut

Former wrestler turned Hollywood actor Nathan Jones made his Bollywood debut with the film, and in an interview with PTI, he said that he got to do a lot more action than in Mad Max: Fury Road.

According to the Australian actor who played the role of Rictus Erectus—a seven-foot-tall muscular brute—in George Miller's 2015 dystopian film, the production was massive, included numerous violent and combat scenes, and didn't provide him with nearly enough opportunity to perform action sequences.

Nathan has been a Hollywood actor for a while now, having resigned from professional wrestling in 2005. He has acted in films such as Troy, Fearless, and Conan the Barbarian, in addition to the Tamil film Bhooloham.

He credited wrestling with helping him develop the physical control he needed to pull off action scenes and stunts in his acting career. He said that his acting has improved because of wrestling. Their mutual assistance is quite evident. Knowing one's body well is very helpful, and this experience has taught him a lot about it.

Nathan Jones praises Tiger Shroff

When discussing their time together in A Flying Jatt, Jones gushes over Tiger and praises his performance. That was a pleasant surprise, as he was truly fantastic; his work is excellent, and he demonstrates a high level of skill.

Even Remo, the film's choreographer and director, as well as the star's dancing style, frightened Jones. He stated that he has not learnt a single dance step from them on the sets because it has been intimidating for him.

Jones gushes over his time on set while discussing the film, saying that he loved collaborating with everyone. Despite his initial scepticism, he eventually came to appreciate how polished everything was. He commented that Remo has a great heart and listens to everyone, and working with Tiger was an incredible experience.
