Following a series of unprecedented events, this hospitality professional is recruited by Indian intelligence to infiltrate the international arms syndicate in an attempt to nab the same mastermind. Based on the hit novel by John le Carré, the series stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala in lead roles. One of the most popular titles on this list is the FX original series The Americans. Slow Horses - (2022-present) - Apple TV+

The Apple TV+ original series, Slow Horses, stars the legendary Gary Oldman in the lead. The American TV series Homeland ran for nine seasons between 2011 and 2020, winning eight Emmy awards and much critical acclaim. The Showtime series stars Claire Danes in the lead as a bipolar CIA agent named Claire Mathison who begins to suspect that a war hero who returned to America after being held by Al-Qaeda is a double agent for the enemy. Damien Lewis, F Murray Abraham, Mandy Patinkin, and Rupert Friend also essay prominent roles in the series. Homeland is based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War.

Narco-Saints (2019- present) - Netflix

The Netflix original Narco-Saints follows the chaotic story of a South Korean entrepreneur who finds himself in a precarious situation when he decides to set up a modest export enterprise out of a Latin American nation but accidentally bumps into an international drug lord. The lead character, played by Kim Sung-hoon, is subsequently recruited by a secret government organisation to apprehend a Korean mobster who happens to be seeking refuge in South America. The series is based on true events and the nation of Suriname had threatened to sue the show for depicting the country in a poor light.

24 (2001-2010) - Disney+ Hotstar

The Night Manager star Anil Kapoor garnered international acclaim for the first time for his role in the hit TV series 24. The action-thriller American series stars Keifer Sutherland in the lead as a Counter Terrorism Agent Jack Bauer, a character who has become a pop culture icon over the years. The Night Manager (2018) - Prime Video

The final addition to this list is probably the most significant. The 2016 version of The Night Manager is the British adaptation of John le Carré’s novel which also inspired the Indian adaptation. The BBC production features a star-studded ensemble of Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, David Harewood, and Elizabeth Debicki. The series is set in Cairo and it is a six-part mini-series. So if you are itching to find out what happens in part 2 of the Indian version, and in no mood to wait for its release, you could watch this version in its entirety on Prime Video.
