76th Primetime Emmy Awards: Eugene Levy and Dan Levy of the Emmy-winning sitcom Schitt’s Creek are all set to host the award show this year. They're the first father-son duo who have been named as hosts of the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. The award ceremony will take place at Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on September 15. It will stream in India on September 16. Those who wish to stream the prestigious award ceremony can do so on an OTT platform.
When and where to watch 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on OTT
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, to be hosted by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, will stream on Lionsgate Play in India. It will be streamed at 5:30 am. You can also watch with your OTTplay Premium subscription. In an official statement, the father-son duo expressed excitement about hosting the award show.
"For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough. We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15," they said.
On the other hand, the Television Academy chairperson Cris Abrego said the team is thrilled to welcome two generations of comedy genius as hosts to the Emmy stage. He stated Eugene and Dan Levy are known for creating hilarious moments on screen. He believes they will be supercharged together on the stage. "I cannot wait for Emmy fans to see what they have in store for all of us," added Abrego.
Jesse Collins Entertainment on Eugene and Dan as hosts
Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay, for Jesse Collins Entertainment, also shared a statement about Eugene and Dan hosting the award show. They felt the father-son duo is a perfect fit to host the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. They are looking forward to the audience having a memorable experience as Eugene and Dan gear up for the big ceremony.
