Six years ago, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha presented a legal drama film, Mulk, to the audiences. Starring Taapsee Pannu and (late) Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles, the movie was shot across Varanasi and Lucknow. Anubhav Sinha's film Mulk was supposed to hit the silver screen on July 13, 2018, but it was eventually released on August 3, of that year. Today, as the film has completed six years, you can enjoy watching this engaging legal drama on ZEE5 and OTTplay with a premium subscription.
The storyline of Taapsee Pannu and late Rishi Kapoor's movie revolved around a Muslim family, who try to reclaim their honor after its patriarch Murad Ali Mohammed gets involved in terrorism. Late Rishi Kapoor played the role of advocate Murad Ali Mohammed in the film while Taapsee was seen as his daughter-in-law and advocate Aarti Malhotra Mohammed.

Besides them, the star cast of Mulk included Neena Gupta, Ashutosh Rana, Prateik Babbar, Manoj Pahwa, and Kumud Mishra among several others. Mulk minted approximately Rs 28.33 crore when it was released in theatres.
Earlier, when Mulk completed 3 years in 2021, Taapsee Pannu paid tribute to her late co-star Rishi Kapoor. The actress penned a heartfelt note on social media. It read, "Three years of a film that will always remain a special one. Still remember the time we spent together with RishiKapoor ji. Today as the film completes 3 years, here's a tribute to our legendary actor, Murad Ali Mohammed! You'll always be missed Chintu ji (sic)."
Meanwhile, Taapsee is currently gearing up for the release of her film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which will drop on Netflix.
