Kangana Ranaut is finally gearing up for the release of her directorial Emergency. After a long delay, the film will be released in theatres on January 17, 2025. She will be seen portraying the role of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. It also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. The trailer was unveiled recently, and the entire team impressed netizens with their on-point portrayal. The film will showcase the 21-month emergency period from 1975 to 1977. The Aanand L. Rai directorial stars Kangana, R Madhavan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Eijaz Khan, Swara Bhaskar, and Deepak Dobriyal in lead roles. The film revolves around a man named Manu, who comes to India to find a bride. As he sees Tanu, a free-spirited girl, he falls in love with her. But things take a turn when she tells him that she already has a boyfriend and plans to marry him against her parents' will. However, destiny plays a part as they bump into each other at a wedding. He tries to impress her yet again but she takes his help to elope with her lover.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a sequel to the first part. It shows Tanu and Manu are four years into marriage but they are frustrated with each other. Eventually, Tanu returns to her hometown while Manu falls in love with a sporty Haryanvi girl, who is a lookalike of Tanu.

The black comedy is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and stars Kangana and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The duo came together for the second time after their hit film, Queen. She decides to rent out a portion of her house to a couple named Keshav and Rima. However, Bobby stalks them constantly and suspects Keshav for a reason.

She is sent to India to kill Rudraveer, who is a coal mafioso involved in the arms trade and human trafficking.
