55th IFFI: Aadujeevitham, Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys, Level Cross selected for Indian Panorama 2024

The four most-acclaimed Malayalam films, including Aadujeevitham, Bramayugam, Level Cross, and Manjummel Boys, are selected for the Indian Panorama 2024 of 55th IFFI.

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to be back with its much-awaited 55th edition, very soon. Recently, the IFFI’s Indian Panorama announced its list of films that are selected to be screened at the film festival. The jury has handpicked 25 feature films, which consist of five mainstream films, from an extensive list of over 384 Indian feature films released in 2024. Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has been selected to be the opening film. Aadujeevitham, Bramayugam, Level Cross, and Manjummel Boys are the entries from Malayalam cinema.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Blessy’s highly acclaimed film Aadujeevitham, Mammootty and Rahul Sadasivan’s Bramayugam, and Arfaz Ayub’s Asif Ali-Amala Paul starrer Level Cross are the three popular films that were selected for the ‘critically-acclaimed’ category of 55th IFFI’s Indian Panorama 2024 screening. Manjummel Boys, the Chidambaram directorial which features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, and others in the lead roles, has been selected for the ‘mainstream’ category of Indian Panorama 2024.

The Indian Panorama, which was introduced in 1978 intends to showcase the best Indian films of the year. This time, the 25 films in the category were handpicked by a six-member-jury, which includes filmmakers Rajnikanth Acharya, Ronel Haobam, Usha Deshpande, Vandana Kohli, Mithunchandra Chaudhari, and Shalini Shah. Along with the 25 feature films, 20 non-feature films are also selected to be screened at the prestigious event.

Bramayugam, Aadujeevitham, Manjummel Boys, and Level Cross on OTT

Mammootty and Rahul Sadasivan’s black-and-white period drama is currently available for streaming on Sony LIV, in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Bramayugam can also be watched on OTTplay Premium. Aadujeevitham aka The Goat Life, the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer directed by Blessy, is available for streaming on Netflix in five languages. Manjummel Boys, the Chidambaram directorial, is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Asif Ali and Amala Paul starrer Level Cross, on the other hand, recently had its OTT release on Amazon Prime Video.
