Namma Veettu Pillai is a 2019 released action-comedy drama which is written and directed by Pandiraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. Sivakarthikeyan, who last was seen in a guest appearance in the Vijay-starrer The GOAT, is gearing up for the release of Amaran on October 31. Amaran is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. Actor Sivakarthikeyan will be essaying the main lead in the film, marking the first biopic project in his career.
The actor also has a film with director AR Murugadoss in the making. The film is yet to get a title, and also stars Rukimini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Vikranth and others.
