5 Years of Arjun Reddy: Shalini Pandey thanks Vijay Devarakonda aka Liger for helping her sail through her debut film

Shalini Pandey, who won over audiences with her out-of-the-box Hindi cinema debut in Jayeshbhai Jordaar opposite superstar actor Ranveer Singh, has shared a lovely tribute on her social media in honour of Arjun Reddy's five years in theatres. In this commercial smash, the actor played Vijay Deverakonda's love interest, which turned her into an overnight sensation and propelled her to stardom.

After reflecting on the event's fifth anniversary, Shalini wrote that this date (August 25) has an important place in her life. One of her favourite memories is the release of her debut movie, Arjun Reddy, five years ago today. The actor will always be appreciative of the unmatched love and support she received for playing Preethi. Shalini owes Arjun Reddy everything, and she wants to express her gratitude to her director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, for making sure she enjoyed the filming.

Vijay Deverakonda, who has his latest release, Liger, hitting the big screens today, was also thanked by Shalini for his role as Arjun Reddy. The actor said that her great co-star Vijay Deverakonda helped her sail through her debut film while ensuring that he had fun the entire time. She thanked Vijay by addressing him as Liger.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga wrote and directed the 2017 Telugu romantic drama film Arjun Reddy, which was also produced by his brother Pranay Reddy Vanga's production business, Bhadrakali Pictures. Rahul Ramakrishna, Jia Sharma, Sanjay Swaroop, Gopinath Bhat, Kamal Kamaraju, and Kanchana play supporting roles alongside Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey.

The subject of the movie is Arjun Reddy (Deverakonda), a high-functioning alcoholic surgeon with anger control issues. After his sweetheart Preethi Shetty (Pandey) got married, Arjun started down a self-destructive path; the movie centres on his fall and subsequent rise.

The movie was adapted in Tamil as Adithya Varma (2019) and Hindi as Kabir Singh (2019).
