India will premiere the 30th Critics' Choice Awards on January 13, 2025, to honour the finest in cinema and television in 2024. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Lionsgate Play (OTTplay Premium). Host Chelsea Handler will be back for a third year in a row. As has been the case for the past four years, the announcement of nominations for films and television took place independently. December 5, 2024, was the date of the announcement of the television nominations. December 12, 2024, was the day of the announcement of the film nominees.

Top nominees for film and television
With eleven nominations apiece, Conclave and Wicked were the top two films, while Dune: Part Two and Emilia Pérez earned ten nominations apiece. Nominations for television shows were headed by Shōgun with six, followed by Abbott Elementary, The Diplomat, Disclaimer, Hacks, The Penguin, and What We Do in the Shadows, each with four. Interestingly, the Best Foreign Language Film category has nominated Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine as Light.

The event will stick to its combined film-and-television awards structure, recognising the finest in film, television, and streaming.
Excitement for the 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards
Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Awards (CCA), expressed his excitement about the 30th annual event by stating that they are thrilled to have Chelsea Handler returning as their host; they know this special 30th anniversary show is going to be their biggest and best yet.
According to Jen Neal, NBCUniversal Entertainment's EVP of live events and specials, this award show is sure to be a season highlight, what with Chelsea's return as host. They are excited to work with the CCA to recognise the most accomplished actors and TV personalities in Hollywood.
Returning for the third year to host the Critics Choice Awards has been even sweeter for Chelsea Handler, and this place feels like homecoming to her.
