Rishab Shetty's Kantara continues to amaze audiences and trade pundits alike. The past 45 days of its theatrical run have been nothing short of a mania as the film rose consistently in stature and broke one record after other, etching its name in history as one of the biggest commercial successes of all time. With more than 1 crore tickets sold in Karnataka alone, a global box office collection that's nearing Rs. 400 crores (gross), and so much more, Kantara has ticked off numerous boxes on its way to glory.

And one such landmark will be achieved on November 18 when the Hombale Films production completes 50 days of its release in theatres. In an era when even the biggest of hits fizzle out in a matter of a couple of weeks, Kantara has managed to hold its own for more than 7 weeks in theatres and is quite likely to forge on, unless the makers chose to bring it out on OTT anytime soon. Nevertheless, it's certainly a cause for celebration and Hombale executive producer Karthik Gowda shared a short reminder earlier today about the film's superb run so far.

"300+ theatres 50 days this week #Kantara. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Housefull shows today too in all district headquarters," he wrote in his tweet to highlight that Kantara will emphatically complete 50 days of its release.

But that isn't all. Reportedly, if Kantara continues to play in the same cinema halls until Friday, November 18, the film will create history by becoming the first-ever Kannada film that's completed 50 days in all the screens it released on the first day! Turns out, no other Kannada film in the past, including the mighty KGF 2, has managed to be this sure-footed in its theatrical run and Rishab Shetty and Co. are sure to revel in the fact that their labour of love has grown to this level of prominence.

In the same vein, Kantara is also inching towards becoming the highest-grossing Kannada film in Karnataka and is behind KGF 2 by a very small margin.
