While Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha is currently screening in theatres, today commemorates the 30th anniversary of Ajay Devgn and Tabu's collaboration. Their first outing together, Vijaypath, was released on August 5, 1994, marking three decades of on-screen partnership between the talented duo. Farouq Siddique directed the action drama, which featured Danny Denzongpa, Gulshan Grover, Reema Lagoo, and Suresh Oberoi in pivotal roles. You can revisit Vijaypath on OTT, as it is currently streaming on ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium).
Justice Saxena's (Vikas Anand) family is overjoyed until Inspector Rajesh Saxena (Suresh Oberoi) apprehends Bhawani Singh (Anant Jog), a renowned mobster. Justice Saxena imposes the death penalty on Bhawani Singh. In an act of self-retribution, Danny Denzongpa plays Bhawani Singh's brother Dilawar Singh (Danny Denzongpa), who murders the judge and Shanker (Brijesh Tripathi), the judge's driver. Additionally, Dilawar Singh pursues his brothers. Karan (Ajay Devgn), the son of Driver Shanker, loses his vision while rescuing Babloo, the son of Justice Saxena. Justice Saxena's wife (Reema Lagoo), their two children, and Rajesh Saxena evacuate the city. After discovering them, Dilawar Singh eliminates the judge's wife and forces Babloo off the moving train. Just before he passes away, Babloo bestows the gift of sight on Karan. Karan will remove his goggles without confronting Dilawar Singh, he swears.

The characters in the film are based on those from Mahabharat, and Devgn portrays Karna. In Vijaypath, Tabu replaced Divya Bharti after her tragically unfortunate demise.
For the uninitiated, this film's chartbuster and popular track, Ruk Ruk Ruk Arre Baba Ruk, featuring Devgn and Tabu, is still iconic. Anu Malik composed the film's music, and Shyam Anuragi wrote the song's lyrics.
Vijaypath was a hit and earned Rs. 7.35 crore (lifetime collection), according to Ibosnetwork. It was also the tenth highest earner among Bollywood films released in 1994.
