As the box office scene appears lacklustre due to the controversies surrounding Telugu superstar Prabhas' Adipurush , many movie enthusiasts are turning their attention towards streaming platforms. Although some anticipated movies like Good Night and Farhana might not release on OTT platforms as originally expected, this week's lineup still offers an array of exciting options. From thrilling action movies and gripping police procedurals, there are numerous choices to alleviate weekend boredom.
Agent:
Judging from the reviews, this Akhil Akkineni-starrer is not the brightest bulb. Even the filmmakers themselves issued notes of apology for making such a mess of the movie. Nevertheless, it's said that director Surender Reddy has re-edited the movie that supposedly makes the OTT version better than its theatrical cut. Given our expectations are already low for this movie, the new versions might just end up surprising us. Besides Akhil, the espionage-thriller also stars Mammootty and Dino Morea.
Agent will become available for streaming on SonyLIV on June 23.
John Wick Chapter 4:
It's an absolute must-watch. John Wick Chapter 4 should undoubtedly be at the top of your weekend watch list. From what the trailer reveals, it's evident that John Wick has escalated his thirst for vengeance to unprecedented heights. In this instalment, John is confronted with a rare chance to overthrow The High Table and regain his freedom. Nevertheless, he must navigate a treacherous path, confronting a relentless stream of formidable adversaries and deceitful obstacles in order to reach his freedom.

Kerala Crime Files:
This six-part police procedural enjoys the distinction of being the first Malayalam web series. And judging from the trailer, it seems that it also brings the storytelling finesse of Malayalam filmmakers to the small screen. Filmmaker Ahammed Khabeer of June fame is at the helm of the web series that's said to be inspired by real-life events. The show is headlined by two of Malayalam cinema's finest: Lal and Aju Varghese. The trailer promises a gripping investigative thriller, that also serves as a commentary on the criminal justice system whose efficacy depends on the social status of a victim.
Kerala Crime Files will premiere on Disney+Hostar on June 23.
