Netflix has finally announced the highly anticipated sci-fi series, 3 Body Problem will premiere its first eight episodes on March 21, 2024. The series is from the executive producers of Game of Thrones – David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo.
Not only that, to keep you hooked, Netflix has also dropped the extended version featuring stars John Bradley, Jess Hong, and Sea Shimooka along with the first poster.
3 Body Problem based on novel
The series is based on the best-selling book series The Three Body Problem, written by Cixin Liu and tells a sprawling, multi-generational story that spans the cosmos.
Story of 3 Body Problem
Set against the backdrop of China's Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish contact with aliens. An alien civilization on the brink of destruction captures the signal and plans to invade Earth. Ye Wenjie, an astrophysicist who loses her parents and career during the revolution, makes contact with the alien planet Trisolaris in her top-secret job as a technician on the Red Coast base.
