Kal Ho Naa Ho is one of the most loved Bollywood films. The movie, directed by Nikkhil Advani, narrated the tragic tale of Aman, Naina, and Rohit. While Shah Rukh Khan played Aman, Preity Zinta was seen as Naina and Saif Ali Khan essayed the role of Rohit. Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Kal Ho Naa Ho has completed 20 years of its release today (November 28).
On this special occasion, Karan penned an emotional note and also remembered his late father, Yash Johar.
Karan Johar on 20 years of Kal Ho Naa Ho
Karan Johar took to his Instagram account and said Kal Ho Naa Ho was an emotional journey for him.
Going down memory lane, KJo wrote, "To bring such a stellar starcast together with a story that has a beating heart…it’s all kudos to the entire cast and team behind the camera for making Kal Ho Naa Ho still beat strong and within everyone’s hearts. For me, this was the last film that my father was a part of from the Dharma family…and it feels surreal to have his presence in every frame as I rewatch it even till today (sic)."
He further mentioned, "Thank you papa, for guiding us through everything & making stories that matter…and for always standing by what is right. I will always miss you… And thank you Nikkhil for making a directorial debut that is etched forever in all our collective hearts! (sic).'
