Ken Ghosh directed the romantic thriller Fida (2004), which starred Fardeen Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, and Akhilendra Mishra. An ambitious man named Jai (Shahid) meets and falls for a stunning young woman named Neha (Kareena). While Jai is oblivious to Neha and her boyfriend Vikram's (Fardeen's) evil plans, they engage in illicit activities. But Jai swore retribution the moment he knew the truth.

36 China Town (Prime Video; ZEE5 [OTTplay Premium])

This mystery thriller comedy is 36 China Town, which Abbas-Mustan directed and Subhash Ghai produced. Once Upon a Crime (1992) is an official adaptation of an earlier film, Crimen (1960), from Italy.

An ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vivek Shauq, Upen Patel, Paresh Rawal, Payal Rohatgi, Johnny Lever, and Tannaz Irani, while Isha Koppikar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Tanushree Dutta make guest cameos.

Sonia Chang (Isha), a wealthy casino owner residing at 36 China Town, was murdered. The police are holding her friends, coworkers, and debtors accountable for her death. After rescuing Sonia's abducted son, Raj (Shahid) and Priya (Kareena) take him back to her estate. When the police interrogate the suspects, they provide their account of the crime site, but they are unable to provide an alibi, further complicating matters.

Chup Chup Ke (Netflix)

Priyadarshan directed Chup Chup Ke (2006), a comedy-drama. Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Kareena Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri, and Shahid Kapoor are among the film's stars. Punjabi House, originally a Malayalam film, is the inspiration for this remake.

Because he is embarrassed by his family's criticism and his incessant attempts to evade creditors, a small-town hustler feels driven to end his own life. In order to get his insurance money and pay off their obligations, he pretends to die. When two incompetent fishermen see him tangled up in their nets, they assume he is a millionaire and come up with a plan to borrow money from a moneylender in return for his assistance. They are all taken aback by the abrupt revelation that he is a pauper.

Jab We Met (JioCinema; Prime Video; Lionsgate Play [OTTplay Premium]; ShemarooMe [OTTplay Premium])

Written and directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met is a romantic comedy film from 2007. Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, and Dara Singh, along with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, complete the supporting cast.

Set mostly in Mumbai, Bhatinda, and Shimla, the film follows devastated businessman Aditya Kashyap as he meets Geet Dhillon, a chatty Punjabi girl, on a train. Geet and Aditya go on a shared journey to her home after missing their train, and their love transforms them both.

In an attempt to escape his miserable life, Aditya, played by Shahid Kapoor, a rich but suicidal industrialist, boards a train without a ticket. Geet, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan, is a lively, optimistic Punjabi woman that he meets on the road. She plans to keep pushing until he finally opens up. Following this, a man feels obligated to protect a girl from harm, and the two of them go on a series of adventures together.

Milenge Milenge

In 2010, Satish Kaushik released the romantic drama film Milenge Milenge. Satish Kaushik directs the film, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their fifth collaboration after Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met (2007) and is largely based on the 2001 film Serendipity. The cast also includes Delnaaz Paul, Aarti Chhabria, and Satish Shah. The film failed at the box office and received mostly negative reviews.

When you open yourself up to the possibility, magic happens, and occasionally even fate intervenes. When it comes to meeting that special someone you'll spend the rest of your life with, should you follow your seeming destiny and embrace it, or should you take a chance on testing your love or what seems meant to be? Milenge Milenge, a romantic comedy/drama, delves into all of these aspects and more.

With its delightful blend of sweet romanticism and slapstick humour, this romantic comedy hits all the right notes. While in Bangkok for a youth festival, Shahid Kapoor's Amit and Kareena Kapoor's Priya meet. After an initial attraction develops, they spend days together playing around Bangkok City. As they prepare to return to Delhi at the end of the festival, Priya decides to end their relationship with Amit because he has betrayed her trust. Despite their lack of familiarity with one another, Amit attempts to win Priya back by assuring her that their union is predetermined. Priya, in turn, resolves that they will reunite in Delhi if their hearts desire it.

After a number of years have passed, they are both engaged to be married, but they can't shake the notion that the other was their one true love all along. As they both embark on a final quest to locate the other before their weddings, destiny brings them back together (following a series of twelve intriguing near misses) in time for their respective ceremonies.

Udta Punjab

Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films produced Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab, a 2016 crime drama film. A stellar ensemble including Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh stars in the film, which is based on real events and revolves around drug usage among the youth of Punjab. The film features Kareena and Shahid reunited after their infamous breakup, but they don't share screen space.

What on earth is the common ground between a rock star, a migrant worker, a doctor, and a police officer? Punjab! Udta Punjab will transport you on an unforgettable journey—four lives, one bond. Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Diljit Dosanjh each take on a unique role as they battle the drug scourge. As they bravely tackle perilous pathways, the film explores the real and imagined highs and lows they experience. Most importantly, though, Udta Punjab is about that legendary Punjabi spirit that, even when completely depressed, has the gall to stare you down and yell, "Drugs di maa di!"
