Starring actors Siddharth and Shamili, the film was released in 2009 to average response but soon garnered a cult status after the film was received well over time. The film stars Siddharth and Shamili in the lead roles, along with Sunil, Napoleon, Pradeep Rawat and others. It is to be noted that Oy! is Shamili's maiden film as a lead. She is most famous for her role as a child artist in Mani Ratnam's Anjali, in which she played a terminally ill child.
Oy! is loosely based on the 2002 American film A Walk to Remember. The film revolves around a couple with the boy trying to fulfil all the wishes of the girl before she dies of cancer. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.

What is Siddharth’s next?
Siddharth is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Indian 2, which is headlined by Kamal Haasan. Directed by filmmaker Shankar, it is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian. Siddharth is expected to play a prominent role in the film. The first part can be streamed on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. Indian 2 is scheduled to release on July 12.
Meanwhile, Siddharth, who was last seen in Chittha, has a few projects lined up. The actor will be sharing screen space with Madhavan and Nayanthara in The Test, and has the romantic drama Miss You. He also announced a project with director Sri Ganesh. More details on his projects are expected to surface soon.
