14 years of Om Shanti Om: Fans celebrate Deepika Padukone on the anniversary of her debut film

Actor Deepika Padukone completed 14 years of her film stint today. As her debut film Om Shanti Om, opposite Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Farah Khan, was released on November 9 over a decade ago, fans took to twitter to celebrate the actor. #14YearsOfDeepikaPadukone became one of the top trends on Twitter. It looks like fans reminded her of the film anniversary of her film today where she played a double role.

The actress too took to Instagram to share a special video featuring her and Shah Rukh Khan in the popular song Aankhon Mein Teri. 

One of fans wrote: "23 Bollywood films, 25 memorable characters, the #1 actress since 2014, the highest paid woman, the most valued female actress, countless amount of awards and achievements throughout her career, 1 woman: Deepika Padukone #14YearsOfDeepikaPadukone"

The film Om Shanti Om is a love story between a struggling actor and a superstar Shantipriya. She gets killed by a cruel producer but the two meet years later after they reincarnate. The film also featured Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade and Kirron Kher in pivotal roles. It won several awards like Best Female Debut and Best Special Effects at the Filmfare Awards, and also won the National Film Award for Best Production Design.
