12th Man Trailer: Mohanlal starrer displays how an unexpected visitor can impact everything

Jeethu Joseph's 12th Man is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language mystery thriller film that stars Mohanlal. The makers have unveiled the trailer of the movie that also has Unni Mukundan, Sshivada, Anusree, and Anu Sithara in key roles among others.

The upcoming movie is set to debut on Disney Plus Hotstar on May 20. The crime thriller is put up in the style of a locked-room mystery. A group of young men and women go on a fun vacation to a mountain resort. Their peacefulness gets broken by an unwanted visitor, the 12th Man, played by Mohanlal.

He appears to be an overly friendly drunkard in need of company. But there appears to be more to him than meets the eye. The trailer suggests that all of the characters in this film are not who they pretend to be. Everyone is keeping a secret, and a murder has been committed in the resort.

12th Man appears to be a promising choice for a family movie night.

KR Krishnakumar wrote the screenplay for the film, while Satheesh Kurup is the cinematographer. The soundtrack is composed by Anil Johnson, and Vinayak edited the thriller flick.

Mohanlal collaborates with Jeethu Joseph for the fourth time in 12th Man. The pair originally worked together on the criminal thriller Drishyam, and then again for the sequel Drishyam 2. The team is now filming an action thriller titled Ram, however, the production has been put on hold due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Drishyam, a highly praised Malayalam film, had a great box office run and was remade in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Drishyam 2, the sequel to the crime-thriller film, was launched last year on Amazon Prime Video.

12th Man also features Saiju Kurup, Rahul Madhav, Aditi Ravi, Priyanka Nair, Leona Lishoy, Anu Mohan, Chandhunadh, Nandu, and Pradeep Chandran.
