Billa is actor Ajith Kumar's one of the most successful films. The actor plays the role of the titular underworld gangster in the film. A prequel was made for Billa, titled Billa 2. The film has now turned 12. You can watch the film on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.
Billa 2 is set during the 1990s, and focuses on how David Billa, an underdog from Sri Lanka, soon becomes a powerful and notorious underworld don. Apart from Ajith Kumar, the film also stars actors Vidyut Jammwal, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Yog Japee, Rohit Khurana, Manoj K. Jayan, Sudhanshu Pandey, Dinesh Lamba, Krishna Kumar, Sricharan, Janaki Sabesh, Madhusudhan Rao and Rahman, among others.
Filmmaker Chakri Toleti helmed Billa 2 which has music scored by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Billa 2 is backed by Wide Angle Creations and IN Entertainment. RD Rajasekhar cranked the camera, while Suresh Urs worked as the editor.

It is to be noted that Billa itself is a remake of the 1980 film of the same name starring Rajinikanth, which in turn is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Hindi film Don.
