Back in 2014, actor Dheeraj Dhoopar participated in Bigg Boss, but only as a guest appearance. It is now reported that the actor has been approached to be a contestant on Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 18. Here's what we know about it so far...
Dheeraj Dhoopar approached for Bigg Boss 18?
A source told ETimes TV that Dheeraj Dhoopar has been approached for Bigg Boss 18. The source mentioned that Dheeraj was approached for the past few years, and it happened again this year. The actor has not confirmed or denied the same so far.
Will Dheeraj Dhoopar participate in Bigg Boss 18?
Usually, when a guest appears on Bigg Boss, they tend to not participate full-fledgedly on the show. Apart from that, Dheeraj is seen in the role of Subhaan Siddiqui in the ongoing show Rabb Se Hai Dua. It is highly unlikely that he leaves the show mid-way for Bigg Boss. It is also to be noted that Dheeraj participated on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa back in 2022, which means that he is open for reality shows otherwise.
Others who were confirmed as approached for the show
Sunil Kumar, who played Sarkata in Stree 2, confirmed being approached for Bigg Boss 18. He is considering the show, but given that he is a police officer, Sunil could face issues with getting leaves to be on the show. Nonetheless, he is trying to participate on Bigg Boss at one point.
Spiritual guru Aniruddhacharya was invited to the show, too. He, however, declined the offer by stating that it hosts people who use abusive language, and that does not match his cultural values.
It is interesting to note that while Salman Khan has been consistent with Bigg Boss, it was Anil Kapoor who had hosted the last season i.e. Bigg Boss OTT 3. Salman has been the host for almost all the TV versions since he took over, and thus, he is expected to host season 18 as well. Munawar Faruqui was declared the winner for Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 17, while Sana Makbul Khan won Anil Kapoor-hosted Bigg Boss OTT 3.
