It was on the day and date of 31 May 2013, when the Gen-Next film maker Ayan Mukerji gifted the audience a breath of fresh air in the form of a ‘youthful’ film titled ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. The film, which was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar, starred the young brigade of actors in the form of Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur.

We all know that Deepika Padukone exceled and how in the role of Dr. Naina Talwar aka ‘Scholar Naina’. Her on screen chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor was definitely the talk of the town, which also acted as one of the USPs of the film. But, if the buzz is to be believed, then, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were also in consideration to play the role which, eventually went to Deepika Padukone.

Like before as we had mentioned, if the buzz is to be believed, then, it was actually Bobby Deol who was offered the role, which, eventually was played by Kunaal Roy Kapur. Not many must have noticed it. But, Ayan Mukerji, the director of the film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, also played a cameo in the film. For the unversed, one can spot Ayan Mukerji during Aditi's wedding when Bunny sings the evergreen track ‘Kabhi kabhie mere dil mein’.

As per a news in Spotboye, it had been reported that Karan Johar had paid a huge amount to get the film’s title, which was the hit song which the late Kishore Kumar had given the playback for Ranbir Kapoor’s uncle Randhir Kapoor in the hit film ‘Jawani Deewani’.

The film also saw the ‘reunion of sorts’ of choreographer Farah Khan and Madhuri Dixit. The song was the brilliantly choreographed ‘Ghagra’, which featured Madhuri Dixit and Ranbir Kapoor, although the former was present in the film only for this song.
