The picturization and set of the movie go back to the 60s with the depiction of cinema. The son of Augustine works on a project with Sulekha and Ravi, who were lovers. The real-life lovers in the movie, Mary and Mukkom in the characters of Sulekha and Ravi, end up being together. The interesting part here is that Mary's father was supposed to send her off to the convent after this movie, but the filmmaker helped the couple escape. However, in the movie executed by Manikkunju, son of Augustine, Sulekha rejects Ravi's love and ends up murdered by him. As she dies there, Ravi, instead of running away, sits beside her and caresses her gently.
