Vairam is a 1974 Tamil thriller starring Jayalalitha, Jaishankar and Sreekanth in leading roles. A mere eye-witness to a gang shoot out and the murder of one of the gangsters finds himself falsely accused of the murder and gets arrested. It is later revealed that before his death, the murdered gang member hid a pouch of diamonds in the lamp of the horse cart without telling anyone about it.
