Vaasthavam

Vasthavam is a 2006 Indian Malayalam - language film that is directed by M. Padmakumar and written by Babu Janardhanan. This is a political thriller film that stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kavya Madhavan, Murali, Samvrutha Sunil, Jagathi Sreekumar and Sindhu Menon. The story of the film is loosely inspired from Thakazhi's novel Enippadikal. Prithviraj became the youngest actor to win Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in this film. The film follows the life of a young man named Balachandran who has four sisters. All the responsibility of taking care of his poor family is on his shoulders. He is in love with a beautiful girl named Sumitra but marries a rich woman and becomes a powerful man.
