The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street is a 2013 American English - language film directed by Martin Scorsese. It is a biographical crime black comedy film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Matthew McCanaughey, Kyle Chandler and Rob Reiner. It is an adaptation of Jordan Belfort’s 2007 memoir by the same name. The movie follows the life of Jordan Belfort who is a Long Island penny stock broker. He was arrested in the case of defrauding investors in a massive 1990s securities scam and had to serve 22 months in prison. The scam involved extensive level of corruption on Wall Street as well as in the corporate banking world.
