The Stepfather

The Stepfather (2009) is an American horror thriller movie directed by Nelson McCormick. The plot is set in Utah, where Michael Harding (Penn Badgely) returns home from military school to find his mother living happily with her boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). As the two men get to know one another, Michael starts to have doubts about his mother's boyfriend, who is always willing to lend a helping hand. The question arises whether David really is a perfect man or if he is hiding a darker side. The cast includes Penn Badgely, Dylan Walsh, Amber Heard, and Sela Ward, who are supported by Sherry Stringfield, Paige Turco, Jon Tenney, Marcuis Harris, and others. The movie is based on the 1987 film of the same title.
