The Miracle Club

Set in 1967 Ireland, The Miracle Club follows a trio of working-class women: Lily played by the legendary Maggie Smith, Eileen played by Kathy Bates, and Dolly played by Agnes O'Case. They win a talent show competition forming a singing group and secure a life-changing prize - a pilgrimage to Lourdes, a holy site known for miracles. Each woman carries a personal burden: Lily seeks solace for a past loss, Eileen fears a health issue, and Dolly hopes for a cure for her mute son. Despite facing resistance from their husbands, they embark on a journey of faith, friendship, and self-discovery, with Laura Linney joining the cast as a skeptical friend who replaces her deceased mother on the trip. Directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan with a story by Jimmy Smallhorne, this movie explores themes of female resilience, hope, and the power of community.
