The Lion King

The Lion King is a 1994 American English - language film directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. It is a musical drama film and was released by Walt Disney Pictures. The story takes place in a kingdom of lions in Africa and follows the adventures of the young lion Simba, and his father, Mufasa. Simba's wicked uncle, Scar, is in a chance to get the throne and to succeed in his plan, he lures the father and son into a stampede of wildebeests. However, Simba manages to escape, and Mufasa is killed. Simba returns to the kingdom after many years as an adult to take back his homeland from Scar with the help of his friends Timon and Pumbaa.
