The Hand of God

Paolo Sorrentino's autobiographical coming-of-age drama revolves around our melancholic protagonist, Fabietto. Set in the summers of Naples of the '80s, the story concerns Fabietto's tentative relationship with his parents and his own unbeknownst desires. The title not only refers to the famous goal by Maradonna but also a tragedy that our protagonist endures in connection to that goal.
