The Dark Knight

When the dangerous criminal mastermind called the Joker begins to cause harm and chaos, Batman, district attorney Harvey Dent, and police lieutenant Jim Gordan form a secret alliance to eliminate organised crime in Gotham City. But with the Joker lurking in every corner, Batman has to overcome various physical and psychological tests put forth by him to fight injustice. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the 2008 superhero film is written by Nolan along with his brother Johnathan Nolan. Starring Academy Award winner Christian Bale, the rest of the cast includes Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman, among others. The film is the second installment of The Dark Knight Trilogy.
