Based on a short story of the same name by Joe Hill, The Black Phone is an American supernatural-horror film directed by Scott Derrickson. The film tells the story of Finney Shaw, a shy but clever young boy who is abducted by a serial killer. Finney wakes up in a soundproof room with a disconnected phone on the wall and soon discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims through it – victims who will not allow Finney to share their same fate. The film features performances from Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, and Ethan Hawke.
