ACP Shiva is a righteous police inspector well-known for this encounter specialty. As he follows the dangerous trail that leads him to gangsters Daali and his brother Cockroach, numerous pitfalls await him. When Shiva finally manages to kill Cockroach, Daali is enraged and vows to exact revenge in the most personal manner possible. Tagaru is a Kannada action-thriller film written and directed by Duniya Soori. Shiva Rajkumar, Dhananjay, Bhavana, Vasishta N. Simha and Manvitha play significant roles with Devaraj as the narrator of the film. The film's original soundtrack was composed by Charan Raj while Mahendra Simha undertook the cinematography.
Tagaru opened to highly positive reviews and eventually became the third highest-grossing Kannada film of 2018, as well as the only Kannada film to be released in Kenya and Japan. The movie featured the second collaboration between Soori and Shiva Rajkumar after Kaddipudi as well as the rumoured inspiration for the 2021 Telugu film Krack.
