A few indigenous people living in the depth of a forest abduct Taramati and Kanhaiya from their wedding ceremony and hold them captive. Their king learns about marriage for the first time. In his world, a couple who is in love simply exchanges flowers and announces monogamy. The king, fascinated by the concept of marriage, promises to release Taramati and Kanhaiya if they get two people from their adivasi group married to each other in the traditional 'human' style. But the simple-minded king with his basic needs finds it difficult to understand the complicated ceremonies and never-ending traditions of marriage whereas the abducted couple realises just how flawed the concept of marriage is.
