Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers (1997) is a sci-fi action adventure film directed by Paul Verhoeven. The film is adapted from Robert A. Heinlein's novel of the same title. Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, and Denise Richards form an ensemble lead cast, supported by Jake Busey, Neil Patrick Harris, Clancy Brown, Seth Gilliam, Patrick Muldoon, and others. Set in the 23rd century, when the human race is engaged in an intergalactic military war with giant alien bugs, the film follows teenager Johnny Rico and his friends as they serve in the military under the Earth World Government. The cinematography for the film is provided by Jost Vacano, while the music is done by Basil Poledouris.
