A young man, who struggles with dissociative identity disorder stemming from his past that was riddled with abuse and abandonment, kidnaps three teenage girls— Casey, Claire, and Marcia— to sacrifice them to his 24th personality nicknamed “The Beast”, which is yet to manifest. Written, directed, and co-produced by M. Night Shyamalan, the 2016 psychological thriller film explores how the teenagers navigate his 23 different personalities to escape the torment and abuse unleashed by some of his personalities. Apart from Shyamalan, Jason Blum and Marc Bienstock serve as producers for the film. Starring James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead, the rest of the cast includes Betty Buckley, Hayley Lu Richardson, Jessica Sula, Sebastian Arcelus, Brad William Henke, Neal Huff, Lyne Renée, M. Night Shyamalan, Rosemary Howard, Bruce Willis, Kim Director, and Sterling K. Brown, among others.
